In the Netherlands earlier this month a 96-year-old woman admitted to killing a prominent businessman in 1946.
The woman was a member of the resistance during Nazi occupation during WW II. After the war ended, resistance members dealt rough justice to Nazi collaborators.
The man who was assassinated had been arrested after the war and acquitted of collaboration. Later it came out that he had assisted Jews who were in hiding and a banned Catholic organization during the occupation.
The woman will not be prosecuted because of the statute of limitations in the Netherlands.
