Loughner incompetent to stand trial

In Tucson today a federal judge declared Jared Loughner, who killed six people and injured 12 in a shooting in Tucson in January, incompetent to stand trial. The judge ordered Loughner remanded to a secure psychiatric facility to determine whether he could be medicated and made fit to stand trial. Another hearing was scheduled for September.

Also, proving that all the lunatics are not in padded rooms, some kooks are promoting a conspiracy theory that the shootings never took place, and the incident was a Department of Homeland Security drill.

That would come as a big surprise to the cops, medical examiners, bereaved families who buried loved ones, and surgeons who pulled bullets out of victims.

One kook has allegedly been confronting victims and witnesses.
