HPD Officer Stefan Riha was arrested after an internal affairs investigation. Citizen complaints of shake downs during traffic stops triggered the investigation.
Riha faces 10 years in prison, and a fine of up to $10,000, if he is convicted. He is suspended with pay, pending the outcome of the investigation.

This story says he is charged with third degree felony theft by a public servant. The investigation is still in the early stages and I wouldn't be surprised if he is charged with several misdeameanor and additional felony charges.
