In Dallas, Towing cars turns deadly. The towing truck fires back and kill the shooter.
DALLAS - Jose Martinez, 28, a tow truck driver assistant, who was doing his job, was shot and killed at a Dallas apartment complex on Friday.

It happened at the Casa Place Apartments in the 3300 block of Chapel Creek Drive.

Police said just before 4 a.m., two employees of Longhorn Wrecking were making their rounds, when an irate tenant approached them from behind and began shooting.

The tow truck employee, who was armed, shot and killed Israel Esparza, 34. But not before Esparza shot and killed the tow truck driver’s colleague, who was in the passenger seat.

The Dallas Morning News reported that the wrecker driver had a CHL. As he observed the suspect pull a gun, he drew his but the suspect shot the driver's assistant before the driver could get off a shot. After his assistant was hit the driver returned fire kiling the suspect.

My partner and I saw the call come in but didn't know any details....sad story but glad the CHL'r was able to take out the BG and not make the innocent victim count 2.
