In federal court in Pennsylvania today a 25-year-old woman was sentenced to seven months in prison and six months of house arrest for lying on a form 4473.
The woman allegedly bought a pistol for her "boyfriend," who subsequently kidnapped his 9-year-old son and got into a high-speed chase and gunfight with police. One officer was killed, another was shot, and the "boyfriend" took a dirt nap.

She only got 7 months in prison + 6 months of house arrest?
She committed a firearms-related crime that resulted in multiple felonies
and a dead state trooper. She should have gotten some serious hard time.

Most first time offenders get probated. Not sure of her history but I'm sure it was a factor.

This is exactly what is wrong with the system, the sentence amounts to nothing more than a slap on the wrist for being an accessory to the murder of a police officer. The Brady Bunch wants to restrict our legal ownership of firearms, where is their outrage over this sentence?

Simple. They are outraged over the fact that she could buy a gun in the first place. They have no concern about enforcement of existing laws. She won't be buying guns anymore. MIssion accomplished.

It's quite common for a felon to get a "girlfriend" who has no criminal record for just this purpose (or to be a drug courier).
It's a shame that this news will be buried in a few newspapers and web sites. It will never reach the people who need to hear about it for deterrent effect. This kind of information needs to be on whatever TV shows and in whatever magazines naive young women read.
The length of the sentence is barely relevant. The woman will be labeled a felon for the rest of her life and will be lucky to get any honest minimum-wage job.
