Gal has restraining order against man. Man sneaks up on gal, drags her by neck towards horsebarn, starts pistowhipping.

Gal's room-mate hears commotion, gets her gun, shouts at man and fires warning shot.

Man shoot room-mate in leg.

Gal's dad hears ruckus, gets his gun, goes to horsebarn with room-mate. Gets in wrestling match with man.

Man starts to shoot, dad triggers off six rounds, gets five hits into man's head and chest. No more need for restraining orders.

"It was like a scene out of an old western," [Saluda County Sheriff Jason]Booth said. "It had three different people firing guns. When the deputies arrived we found a body in a barn and blood everywhere."

Man had four previous arrests for assault and battery.
