CO: Suspect arrested in mall arson, bombing

Post by seamusTX »

In the Denver, Colorado, area April 20, a fire was set at a mall, and a pipe bomb and two propane tanks were found. The fire was put out by an employee using a fire extinguisher. The pipe bomb and propane tanks did not explode, as the perpetrator seemed to intend.

The site was two miles from the Columbine high school where the infamous shooting occurred on April 20, 1999. Police said there was no connection.

April 20 is the birth date of Adolph Hitler, and many evil deeds have been done on this day <cue "Twilight Zone" music>.

In Boulder yesterday police arrested a suspect in the latest incident. He is a 65-year-old white man who reportedly is a career criminal and was released from prison a few days before the arson incident after serving a sentence for bank robbery.

He was released early for good behavior.

Usually by age 65, criminals have calmed down.

I guess this one's an over-achieving senior.

This could be a case where the criminal commits the crime to be re-incarcerated.

If the guy just wanted to go back to jail, he could have walked into a police station and lit up a joint.

If the allegations are true, it sounds like the actions of a sociopath or psychopath with a huge grudge against society.
