Tyler: Woman invades wrong house

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In Tyler Thursday a 51-year-old woman disguised as a man allegedly broke into a home and tied up the adult woman resident and three girls. The victims escaped through a window and sought help from a neighbor. Police surrounded the house and eventually extracted the suspect.

Police reported that the suspect had a stun gun, a knife, nunchukas, and a fake mustache. Police also stated that the suspect had previously been deported to Mexico for an immigration violation.

The suspect was trying to collect a debt, but got the wrong house.

LEOs, please educate me. Is this just a generic charge that is used while the DA figures out what to actually charge her with (burglary, aggravated kidnapping, etc.)?

Read the Fox news link below the photo. It states she faces the charge of burglary with intent to commit a felony.

Intent to commit a felony is one of the elements of burglary.

All the first-degree felonies have the same punishment, 5-99. It hardly matters which offense the person is convicted of.

Wow, glad they got her. If they had to find her based on description alone, every girls' gym coach in the state would have been arrested.

I reckon they wouldn't say it if they didn't know for sure?
