The above video is about 1 minute long.
Location: Lewis Street Market in Nashville, Tenn.

2 BG's enter the store. The GG tries to grab the BG's gun hand
and push it to the side, but doesn't succeed and puts him in a bear hug.

The film seems to jump a second and shows the 2 BG's trying to get the other
GG clerk under control. Both BG's go after GG2, ignoring GG1 that has just
grappled with one of the BG's.

GG1 draws a semi-auto from under his shirt, at about 300 PM position.

He appears to rack the slide, but in the commotion he drops the mag and
his pistol will not fire, due to a mag disconnect on his pistol. There is no
mention in the story as to what brand/model of pistol he was using.

He gets the mag back in and starts engaging the suspects, sometimes with
wild shots towards the ceiling, but then with some shots that seem like they
should have hit the BG's. The BG's made their getaway without being shot.
I believe GG1 fired about 9 shots, and GG2 didn't seem to have any gun.

Feel free to comment if your interpretation of this robbery-gone-bad differs
from my own.

Please comment on the tactics used by the GG's.

Looked like the same tatics used by some of the guys who served in Vietnam. Head below bunker, M16 above bunker and shoot blindly until gun is empty.

Would love to see a CG image showing the path of each round fired. No telling where some of those bullets came to rest. Very lucky someone outside the store was not injured.

Looks like he kept shooting after they well outside the door and running away --a hit at that point might not have ended too well for him.

Never mind if he had a magazine disconnect or his Israeli carry hadn't been practiced enough his tactics, gun handling and marksmanship was deplorable. He's lucky to be alive!

Very interesting video. Thanks for posting.

WRT to the magazine falling out: John & Vicki Farnam taught me that when adminstratively load and holster my handgun, give the magazine a tug to make sure it is properly seated. That has saved me from a boo-boo a couple times.

My FN Hi Power has a mag disconnect. It is in a box sitting on a shelf somewhere in the closet. ;-)

I tell my students to seat the magazine like your life depends on it. I also tell them a gun is designed to contain an explosion. What do you think you will do to it with your hands?

Regarding ,magazine "safeties" I won't carry a gun that has one, if I can't have it disabled or disable it myself I don't keep that gun.
