In League City Wednesday police arrested a 17-year-old for armed robbery and marijuana possession. The victims, a man and two women, were in a car in Countryside Park near FM 518, near the border between League City and Friendswood, around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to a witness, six Hispanic men with bandannas over the faces drove into the park and committed the robbery. The witness stated to police that he struck one of the robbers, who dropped a stolen purse.

Witness confronted and struck one of six bandits with at least one gun? I want that guy on my side!

I have some questions about this incident, including when the police were called.
If I see six men with bandannas on their faces getting out of a car in a park at 10:30 p.m., I am setting a personal best speed record.

He could have called 911 while watching from his car. It seems lucky that the witness didn't get shot.

That parking lot is long and narrow, and has only one steep entrance/exit.
Very simple to block someone in.
Long history of gangs in the vicinity (and I won't say more than that).

In that case I'm setting a high jump record or doing a very convincing impersonation of a rock.
