Wonder if any of those A&M faculty who voted to keep the campus "gun free" should know.

You'd be surprised to know how many college and professional athletes are thugs and hoodlums that just "caught a break" through sports.
Some straighten out and make positive gains, others not.

Your link changed...
Here's the new url..
http://www.kxan.com/dpp/news/crime/pist ... of-Leander" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The details are also changed... The victim grabbed the first assailants gun, then the secnd assailant pulled another gun and pistol whipped the victim..
What's the penalty for first time attempted armed robbery in TX?
Life I hope.
Lucky victim wasn't killed. He should buy a lottery ticket.

The old link isn't working for me:

Unfortunately, I would not be at all surprised. Very sad, indeed.

Roughly twenty years ago my brother was a HS basketball coach. 4 of his first string players got nabbed for burglary. They got no sympathy from him and were immediately tossed off the team. He still took the remainder of his team to the state playoffs.

“We're never surprised to hear there's something going on, or damaged or gone a miss at the park,” Carolyn Rushton, who lives near the small community park, said.
Neighbors told us the park draws a different crowd after dark.
So, it's the park's fault.

Or, perhaps the city's fault for inadequate lighting?
(I think they need security cameras in the park, cameras stop crimes, I saw a College Campus state they installed cameras to
protect us ... I see criminals on cameras every night on the news
not committing crimes because of the "protected" businesses)
