Yeah, clean your gun, load one and test fire, just to make sure that someone is dead!

This kind of thing is far too common to be labeled an "unfortunate accident" or the media's favorite term for any death—"tragedy." The death is often convenient for someone.

That area of Houston is a mix of nearly civilized apartment complexes and wretched hives of scum and villainy.

A commisioned security guard horsing around with a loaded gun? Anyone sees something wrong here?

Security guards are not allowed to have a handgun on their person except when in uniform and on duty or on their way between home and work. (That would be assuming that the mope did not have a CHL.)
