PA: Woman shoots boyfriend "accidentally," charged

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In Latrobe, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh area), a 46-year-old woman was charged with homicide after allegedly fatally shooting her boyfriend. She said the boyfriend was trying to remove a pistol from her hand when it discharged "accidentally."

I'm afraid I see a trend here.

Neighbors said they heard two people running back and forth inside the couple's home, then heard a female voice yell, "No, no, no!" before hearing "a loud 'pop' sound," Regula wrote.

After hearing the noise, neighbors heard a woman make phone calls for help.
These neighbors must have super-hearing! A neighbor, even outside the house, can hear somebody running around and making a phone call? :headscratch

That's a good observation.

The time was around midnight. If you're awake then you are better able to hear unusual noises.

It could have been a duplex with poor sound insulation. I doubt the windows were open in Pennsylvania this time of year.

I can understand hearing the gunfire -- but the other stuff is outlandish unless the neighbors had their ears pressed against the victim's door. :fire :cryin

Maybe. But in the building where I grew up, we could hear one particular set of neighbors arguing (they argued a lot) and the occasional squeaky bed springs.

I can easily believe that the accused woman's 911 call was delivered at hysterical pitch.
