In Mobile, Alabama, Wednesday night, a suspected robber armed with a box cutter tried to rob a man outside a fast-food restaurant. The intended victim produced a "gun" and shot the suspect.

The suspect survived and was charged with robbery.

Police consider the case justifiable self defense, pending a full investigation.

This article does not state that the defender had a concealed handgun license or whatever they call it in Alabama, but presumably he did.

Good shooting!

The video clearly states that had a concealed permit. It talks about getting the permit too.

Cost is $20 but is only good for one year in Alabama.

It was interesting to see the second story in the video. A second story victim was shot during a robbery attempt. I wonder how the guy interviewed about first story who wanted to leave it up to police to handle would have responded to the second situation. Apparently the police weren't able to do much for the second situation victim.

When are some folks going to get it through their head that it will be a rare occasion when the police foil an in-progress robbery.
