Illinois passed a law to eliminate cash bail. The law also creates a number of non-detainable offenses, including kidnapping and robbery. No one in the state capitol is paying attention to soaring violent crime rates. So, now if you rob someone, you get processed, released, and repeat.

A few cities across the US have implemented various degrees of bail reform, but this law is the most drastic because it's statewide and includes violent crimes like murder and kidnapping.
