I wonder if she was under the influence of something.

I'd like to know who reported that she was unprovoked, and if it is true. Otherwise, it's a very strange story.

Edit to add: I can easily imagine angry car owners trying to pull her out of her car to whoop up on her, and neighbors covering up for them.

That is a very real possibility. Some folks get extremely territorial about damage to their cars. Jeeze, it is why I am very cautious about letting my door touch a vehicle beside me in a parking space. The way some folks glare at me from inside their cars as I get out of mine is unreal. I can easily picture them losing their stuff over someone slamming into their car in front of their house.

Texas Man Finds Stolen Truck, Kills Thief In Shootout
ghe dead man's brother, Jose Garcia, said the truck owner was wrong:

“The victim was my brother and there are two sides to every story. Whether my brother was wrong or right, he had a gun pointed at him. I guess he took it upon himself to defend himself.

The guy who shot him is a vigilante, not a hero. A vehicle is not worth taking someone's life, I don't care what kind of car it is. You don’t take the law into your own hands. Now my mom, my family, we all have to suffer and just deal with it.”
Jose Garcia has truly helped me understand why the lord created the great flood... because the unrepentant wicked will never learn

Sons lemon drink was previously stolen by bully at school during I assume lunchtime.

So mom concocted a nasty combination of non toxic liquids and gave it to her son.

Boy either offered it to the bully or the bully stole it again and ended up going to the hospital with a sick stomach.

Hospital trip may have been school being over protective or everyone scared it was poison, which it wasn't.

Mom was arrested for injury to a child.

If the bully stole the drink from the other child, would she be innocent of injury to a child?

San Antonio seems to only have weird crime. Or maybe I only notice weird crime in San Antonio.

Grandmother City Council Member of Castle Hills doesn't like the City Manager so gets a petition together to have him fired. So the Police arrest her and put her in jail for a day. Well she wants to personally sue the people involved. They are claiming immunity. It has now gone to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Sound familiar immunity from prosecution because your a government official. Trump is asking SCOTUS for the same thing. However, in this case, the officials of Castle HIlls jailed her for her free speech, violating her rights under the constitution, not over handling of classified documents.
