CA: Mass murder at San Jose transit authority 9 dead

This has been in the news for a few days. Obviously a crazy guy decides to kill as many at work as he could. There is more to the story.

Stopped by authorities as he came back from Philippines with Terrorist Books and writings. Employer wasn’t notified.

No matter what books he brought back and what his writings said, if it was a crime, why wasn't he arrested? And if it wasn't a crime, how could the FBI notify anyone without being sued for defamation?

Unfortunately, freedom is a dangerous thing sometimes. I prefer it to arresting people for crimes they might commit in the future.

Unfortunately, freedom is a dangerous thing sometimes. I prefer it to arresting people for crimes they might commit in the future.
The Kalifonia Governor wants a "minority report" kind of power. Basically, destroying the US constitution. No right of privacy, nor 1stA rights, never mind the 2ndA

22 THOUSAND rounds of ammo? Wow, evil dude must have had some money. Setting aside all the rest of the horrible events, I wish I could afford that much ammo!

I read elsewhere that he had made blatant death threats at work. I'll go out on a limb and say that's illegal in California. Why was nothing done about him on that basis? Why did no one report him for that?
