Man, you guys all beat me to it. I was posting my own thread and thought I better check this one to see if I'm not duplicating it.......and here it all is.

Second brother still on the run.

The one who was killed is of Chechen descent, possibly from Turkey. One of them had been a student on a scholarship here. Both have been in the U.S. for several years. The one on the run is 19 years old. "Black hat" is the dead one. "White hat" is on the run.

Incredible details here: http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04 ... fight?lite
By Pete Williams, Richard Esposito, Michael Isikoff and Erin McClam, NBC News
With a bomb strapped to his chest, one of the Boston Marathon suspects was killed early Friday after he and his accomplice brother robbed a 7-Eleven, shot a police officer to death, carjacked an SUV and hurled explosives in an extraordinary firefight with law enforcement, authorities told NBC News.

{snip....}

The dead suspect — the man in the black hat from the FBI photos — had an improvised explosive device strapped to his chest, law enforcement officials said.

pretty quick how it all turned when the FBI said help
have to wait for the real details
if these guys are a "sleeper" and are or may be part of a larger group, why would the mother ship leave them hanging ? these guys robbed a 7/11 ? if they had support, then they should have had a bug out plan? just saying

but "white Hat" is running

oh and the TEA party is now off the hook CNN :waiting:

Per Fox News.......

The suspect who was killed was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, under CPR, in an attempt to save his life....presumably for questioning. The surgeon who worked on him said that in additional to multiple gunshot wounds, he also had shrapnel wounds in his chest, presumably from one of the IEDs they threw at the cops.

#2 (Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev - on the run) has a Facebook page according to Fox. He states on his Facebook page that he is a Muslim.

I don't do Facebook so I do not know what else is there other than some hatred for Russia, etc......

I'm just "blogging" the Fox reporting here....

"White Hat" was apparently an accomplished wrestler in high school and was offered a college scholarship for wrestling. It is surfacing that he had actually been interviewed about it in the past. In the interview, he said that he was not really involved in American society because he said that we have no "values" here (judging by Cambridge, MA, he may be right). He said that he consequently kept to the local Chechen community.

If he does, they've taken it down. I just tried searching FB for it, and all I get is their regular news search of articles about "Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev"

I am sure the residents of Watertown, MA can answer the question: "Why does anyone need an AR-15 and 30 round clip". :banghead:
And now that shelter in place order has been given and is apparently being followed (good) I wonder how many of those regular citizens wish they had a gun in their hands in case one of these fleeing terrorists decides to break through their door looking for a place to hide.

No, they are Chechens.

If you don't know what a Chechen is, or where Chechnya is, or anything about their conflict with Russia, you should read up.

Short story: Chechens are (generally) Muslims that live in the Causausus mountain region. They make the Taliban look like wimps, which is why they are VERY welcome in Afghanistan by the Taliban.

Why are you bringing up their religion? Islam had nothing to do with this. It's workplace violence plain and simple. Bigots. :biggrinjester:

If you want to get some idea of the Chechnyan brand of Islamic radicalism, Google the Beslan school attack.
