Bellaire man chases down suspect after neighbor robbed
Re: Bellaire man chases down suspect after neighbor robbed
Reminds me of a news story about 25 years ago where a guy shot a bad guy who had robbed a lady in a parking lot and the good guy pull;ed out something like this for the news crew, and said he practiced a lot with it, (but his scope was huge)

...back in the no-carry days, a man in Irving witnessed a guy shooting his wife at a mall...he pulled out a scoped revolver about that big and shot him...said he was on the way to the range...I think he walked on that one...

Sounds like a great way to get rid of the guy you hired to take care of the spouse...speedsix wrote:...back in the no-carry days, a man in Irving witnessed a guy shooting his wife at a mall...he pulled out a scoped revolver about that big and shot him...said he was on the way to the range...I think he walked on that one...

Radio news reports said robber was armed. Glad it all worked out with no one hurt and BG arrested.

...let me add a bit to that post for clarification...a man (white) witnessed a guy (black) who was shooting his OWN wife (also black) in the mall parking lot...whereupon the white guy grabbed above gun and shot the murderer...is that better??? I sure din't do too good the first try

Yep, new article said he was from Finland, speaks 6 languages, has a black belt in karate and prior military training from Finland. That explains why he knows how to handle a gun. They are pretty well trained in special ops if I recall correctly.threoh8 wrote:Sounds Scandinavian to me, as does the name Melartin.jmra wrote: Did anyone else catch an accent suggesting the US was not his country of origin?
