Pool Party Mayhem in McKinney

I just heard an interview on the radio with what was supposed to be the girls father. He is already playing the race card. Also complaining that there were no female officers as first responders sent.

They will find anything they can to complain about.

Been an interesting day. There is a protest scheduled to end at the pool, which is closed on Mondays for cleaning and routine maintenance. I'm not sure how that is going to go over when 1400 already confirmed protesters find out that nobody is swimming today and the pool is locked up. Lots of posts suggest that people will be armed and ready to "promote justice." Then, of course you have the conservative groups, such as the "DFW Patriots" vowing to come "locked and loaded for a counter-protest," keeping McKinney safe from "lawless teens, race-baters, and cop haters."

I've been moving potted plants, tiki torches, lights, pretty much everything that isn't nailed down, into the garage. I have 2 trauma kits ready to go, and the wife & kids are spending the night at my mother in law's. I will be joining them if things start to get violent and I think I can get out safely.

What a surreal day in the suburbs.

Only what I've read. One report said the following:

Tatiana Rose, who lives in the Craig Ranch neighborhood and hosted the party with her siblings, said a woman and man who live in the neighborhood showed up and called their friends racist profane names and told them to return to their Section 8 housing.

The 19-year-old Rose said most of her friends who attended the party live in Craig Ranch — which sits along a golf course.

While I understand completely that the "story" in that link is skewed towards her opinion, I don't see any reason to doubt that she was the one hosting the party.

But, my comment was really tongue in cheek, making fun of the "racists slant". The police weren't picking out black people to harass, the uncomfortable truth is that they confronted only those who refused to do disperse.

There's a video running around of a girl fighting with a mom that was leaving. In the video, you can hear one of the guys cheering "KC" on ("Get her KC!"). I suspect Tatiana was the one fighting, which was what prompted the call from the police. KC is likely Tatiana (Keef_Cakez)

Quite a contrast to the cool calm demeanor that she portrayed in the interview.

You expecting volunteer board members to go out and confront them? The cops were called. It doesn't appear they allowed it to me.
