EAST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -
A father and son were killed in a home invasion in East Harris County on Saturday.
The thieves forced their way into the home where deputies said they stole more items, then shot and killed both men.

I learned that when I'm home and its getting dark, I carry. To many bad stories. During the day the neighbors are outside with the kids. When home alone, I keep my trusty 45hk usp tactical with 2 12round mags with the UTL attached since I keep the lights off in my house due to cost. This way I can see and respond if necessary. I got called paranoid the other day, I took offense to it and replied, "you'd be right if I thought that someone is going to break in and I'm waiting for them in anticipation. But I carry because I want to be ready if anything happens. Being proactive isn't paranoia, I don't believe someone will break down ,my door, but I'm ready if someone does". Lol I think I made sense. Poor family.

i hope there is more to this story than just a random act of violence. i wonder what they were doing in their garage at 1 am.
maybe this just made them an easy target.
