If that's "the departments most powerful weapon," then they are insufficiently armed. :mrgreen:

What do they need those things for anyway. Their only use is for killing hundreds of people without reloading. All they really need is a double barrel shotgun. And that shoulder thing that goes up....OY!

He says that assault rifles account for only about two percent of the shootings in the city.
I'm surprised the number is that high.....

I wonder if more department weapons like that will start going missing if the AWB gains any traction?

Definitely breeds confidence in the philly police! Being it's most powerful weapon, I believe they are using Ruger Mark IIIs for normal traffic stops.

Maybe they are benchmarking against the feds losing 20,000 M-16's. One missing gun is hardly worth mentioning.

You would think that they would at least put a tracking device on a weapon of mass destruction.
