NC: Minors charged with murder, carjacking

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In Durham, North Carolina, Friday, two boys age 14 and 16 and a 12-year-old girl allegedly asked for a ride from a driver, robbed him, shot him, and left him lying in the street. The victim died later.

The girl also shot herself during the incident.

All three were arrested and charged with murder.

Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore.

IIRC, somewhere in our Bible, the age of accountability is stated to be 12 years of age. I'm okay with that.

Hang 'em and hang 'em high!

Correction: The alleged perpetrators were a 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 12-year-old girl.

These kids didn't just hatch and crawl out from under a rock. Someone is at least partially responsible for their upbringing.

There's no account of where the weapon that used came from. Some adult also might be criminally liable for letting one of them have access to it.

They either stole it or some adult committed a felony. NC General Statutes 14-315
Is it coincidence Durham Country is the only place in NC with handgun registration?
I sincerely apologize to anybody I offended by suggesting the Second Amendment also applies to The People who don't work for the government.

No more excuses! Theses heathen kids had all reached the Biblical age of accountability. They knew what they were doing. Try them as adults and sentence them accordingly. No more excuses for inexcusable acts - young or old, male or female!

Should they be be found guilty by a jury of their peers, hang 'em high and hang 'em publicly. Let's have some accountability, eh?
