ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (KOAT/CNN) - As the gun control debate escalates due to recent shootings did not faze thieves who did a little late night shopping.

At 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, a Los Lunas, N. M. Walmart was robbed by three thieves who broke into locked gun cases and stole specific types of guns, according to police.

I was at the Walmart and no AR-like rifles on display. NO SIGs or Colts, Ammo was gone and few boxes left. The Hoarding is insane. Good I have no need to buy anything other than cleaning supplies that cost me a $16.

The People are freaking out and buying everything.

It's like they're preparing for something, isn't it?

One of the gifts I gave my son for Christmas was 500 rounds of 5.56 because he was worried that he didn't have enough on hand. I've got a couple thousand rounds of 5.56. Not enough, but a start.

If it comes to that, there will be plenty of rifles and ammo laying around the battlefield.

If they'd have just posted a big sign:

"It's against the law to steal guns here"

Then the law-abiding criminals would behave better and this never would have happened.

They need to pass a law requiring signs informing criminals that it's against the law and if there's no sign then punish the business owner for breaking the law and not posting the sign.

Obviously we have a deficiency of laws and need more.

This is what I told a co-woker today when the subject of buying an AK was brought up. :txflag:
