This is not the time, nor the place, to make light of another cowardly, gun caused murder. In fact, there is no time nor any place for yukkin' it up over any senseless murder; especially, when the victims were risking their lives to save the property and perhaps lives of others.

My symphathies to the familes and the community.

There is a difference between making the sarcastic observation that nonsensical gun laws are useless versus "yukkin' it up". Obviously, no one is laughing at the poor souls who were murdered.

She says that she bought them for her own use, and they were stolen from her vehicle. However, there is no record of her reporting the theft. According to the complaint there is other evidence that she made a straw purchase on behalf of the deceased murderer.

And once again, there is already a law in place...it should be enforced. The woman bought guns in a straw purchase for a felon...PROSECUTE HER for the CRIME SHE COMMITTED. It won't bring anyone back, that is true. But it should be PUBLICIZED that its a crime (not that the person buying doesn't know that) just to remind people that there are laws already...but of course, that doesn't help the cause of the leftwing gun banners and their media vulture cronies.

Unfortunately the people who are likely to be straw buyers don't read the New York Times. They probably don't even watch TV news. They tend to be whatever kind of woman is attracted to thugs, or desperate people who will do anything for a few bucks.

Probably all the highly publicized shootings in the past month involved weapons that were legally purchased from an FFL by the shooter or a relative, or in this case a straw buyer. They had nothing to do with the "gun show loophole" or private purchases.
