Tragedy in Houston on Christmas Eve
There is no such thing as a "routine traffic stop." Very sad day for FD and PD in our nation. Officers are dying big time this past week in our nation. I will be suiting up in a couple hours for my shift.
Officer and innocent bystander reported dead. RIP brother!

A very unforunate incident.
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

May God look over them and their families.

Sadly the suspect seems to have survived. Of course this all speculation since reporting is a lost art.
RIP Officer and the bystander. I sincerely hope the suspect is allergic to all pain killers and got some deep wounds himself.

It's a testatment to the professionalism of the police department that the suspect was only wounded during apprehension. We'd all like to think that the cops would have "taken matters into their own hands", but alas that is not the case. Just cops doing their job, and one of them sacrificed their life in the process. Rest in peace brother in blue. We thank you for your service, and pray that your family can heal this wound over time.

2nd officer dies today:
Wisconsin Police Officer Found Slain on Christmas Eve
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A suburban Milwaukee police officer was found shot and killed on Christmas Eve a couple of hours after a police dispatcher tried unsuccessfully to reach her, and authorities said they were investigating the case as a homicide.
A dispatcher tried to reach Officer Jennifer Lynn Sebena, 30, for a call about 3 a.m. Monday, but she didn't respond, Wauwatosa Lt. Gerald Witkowski said. Officers began looking for her and found her dead with several gunshot wounds about 5 a.m., he said. He didn't know if she was found inside or outside her squad car or whether she tried to defend herself.
Investigators have no suspects, and Witkowski urged witnesses to come forward

The officer had served in law enforcement for 24 years. The apparent murder weapon was a .380 caliber handgun.
