Deranged man throws hero on to subway tracks after he attempted to stop the man from harassing people on the platform. Hero is killed by train.
What I find interesting from the photo, taken by a man who was repeatedly using his flash to warn the train engineer (believe that?), is the lack of help from anyone in the station, his death is fully documented, but no one appears to offer assistance. You can see in the background the large crowd standing their distance.
You can't own a gun in NY, so you kill by subway train.
Deranged man doesn't use gun in NY.

I want to know when Costas is going to do a rant against the horrible availability of subway trains.

Looks like he would have been OK if he had ran down the tracks away from the train rather than try to climb out.philip964 wrote:http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manh ... eyxHns2VNP

As other riders congregated toward one end of the platform, Han and the man were about 100 feet away from them.
“The most painful part was I could see him getting closer to the edge. He was getting so close,” Abbasi said. “And people were running toward him and the train.
Looks to me people were trying to get to him to help, but couldn't get there in time.Dr. Laura Kaplan, a second-year resident at Beth Israel Medical Center who was also on the platform, sprang into action, taking off her coat, grabbing her stethoscope and rushing over to help the dying man.

Another article I read on this said the crowd had backed away from the nutjob, because he was threatening people -- that's why they were so far away. Then Mr. Han moved towards nutjob to try to calm him down. Unfortunately it didn't work. RIP.philip964 wrote: ...

Wait we have this all wrong. He was standing his ground while being attacked by the man who is now dead. With guns being illegal, he used the only weapon permitted in NY, a subway train. As you know NY allows open carry of subway trains.
