South Houston police are looking for two men in a red Chevrolet Suburban who left the scene of an early Saturday shooting and stabbing. At about 3:30 a.m., police officers met a car leaving a home in the 600 block of State Street with four men who said they were headed to the hospital, South Houston Police Chief Herbert Gilbert said in a prepared statement. The four men had been in a fight with three other men at the address, the chief said.

I think it also has to do with the fact that it is the end of the month and the 47% who survive off the government have exhausted their "benefits" and are getting rowdy whilst waiting on the next check to come. The fact that it is a full moon as well is not helping.
