Argument leads to shooting

If you're going to argue with your spouse for days at a time, make sure they are a poor shot.

A 79-year-old woman remained in the Harrison County Jail on Friday for allegedly shooting her husband in the head during an argument between the two on Wednesday.

“No bond has been set,” Jay Webb, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said.

The woman, Bonnie Hooper, was charged with aggravated assault. Her husband, 62-year-old Hubert Dean White, was taken by Marshall EMS to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall to be treated for his injuries. He has since been released.

Update in the paper today indicates he is at home recovering. She is still being held on a $250,000 bond.
