A man accidentally shot his brother at their Collin County tire store Tuesday.

According to officials, Ala and Mohammad Abudaabes were "playing" around with a pistol inside the business at 1312 N. Tennessee St. when it went off, striking Ala in the neck.

Authorities say the McKinney fire Department performed CPR on the 20-year-old victim at the scene before transporting him to Medical Center McKinney.

He later died of his injuries.

I hate when they do that for no reason at all, I bet gun store employees come in each morning finding the ceiling full of holes from guns that "just went off" overnight while the store was closed....

Man charged in brother's tire shop shooting

A man who police said accidentally shot and killed his brother on Wednesday is now charged in the case.

Mohammad Abudaabes, 21, is charged with manslaughter for shooting his brother in the neck with a pistol while horsing around at the family tire shop in McKinney, police said.

Ala Abudaabes, 20, died from his injuries.

Mohammad Abudaabes is charged with manslaughter and was being held on $100,000 bond.
