A man nicknamed a jailhouse “MacGyver,” who had 18 prior convictions, was sentenced to “99 years or life” in prison Tuesday in connection with a home invasion, sexual assault and robbery. The latest arrest of Richard Anthony Herod, 38, whose special skills included picking jail cell locks, came from a home invasion inTexas City.

Deserving...IMHO, all felony habitual (3 or more) offenders that are not clinically certified mentally ill should be detained long term in working camps maximum security. Only paroled when they are severely ill, then their "love ones" can have em back and take care of them. No love ones to go to, rot it out. Why does it take 11 felonies to be recognized as a "threat" to society???

Like the Pan-Am 103 "Lockerbie" bomber that was released in 2009 because he was dying of prostate cancer -- and then didn't die until last month?
