I can tell you that the Arlington that I raised my kids in in the '90 is VERY different from the Arlington now. My daughter, after serving time in the military (including deployment to Afghanistan) decided to return to her roots and is now a cop there. She loves her job, but the stories she tells me...not good.

...due to the deteriorizing value system first in the home and then in society, it's that way EVERYWHERE...I would not be a cop these days...I wouldn't last a week...but I thank God for those who are and support them in any way that I can...

The officer was released last night according to radio news reports.
I'm guessing he got lucky with just a grazing hit.
