Rahm Emmanuel, like Daley before him, probably has armed bodyguards...so what happens to the "peasants" in Chicagoland is only a matter of perception...and if they can continue to get enough people in that city-state to "perceive" that its the guns, and not the crooks, who are doing this, then they will continue to be "gun-free"...it would be a joke, except that stuff like that ain't funny.

I do not believe that the good people of Chicago decide elections. I believe that the Chicago political machine does. Therefore, it doesn't matter who perceives anything about guns. The mistake that the good people of Chicago make is to continue to live there when they know that the election process has been hijacked.

His current post as I write this is about the overnight shootings; a couple posts below, he notes that in March 2011 there were 22 homicides for the whole month, but this March they are already up to 19. SCC has a lot of inside scuttlebutt on Chicago cop-dom and politics....


SCC doesn't think the gun ban/restrictions do much the help the citizens or hinder the thugs.

Right. In other words, He (they) feel that having firearms near them for the purpose of selfdefense is perfectly justified. It's just not justified for everyone else to do the same.
