And I agree. I don't have a problem with people wanting to put speed bumps on a residential street—whether or not it is part of an HOA. My objection is to the idea that some wannabe rentacop who thinks that he's on a mission from God and believes that he has some kind of right under the ninja code to jack with people any way he wants to.....as though black tactical cargo pants and a big flashlight are the equivalent of a sworn law enforcement officer's badge. My disdain extends to HOA officers who are petty martinets and who are drawn to the position because they have a sick need to lord it over others because their petty little lives aren't enough for them.
There are good and honorable private security guards. And there are good and honorable HOA officials. But there are also plenty of the other sort who seem to draw their self-worth from bullying other people. A pox on them..
