As far as how to carry on a bike, haven't tried it, but I bet someone could rig up a pocket holster with an LCP or something to the jersey pocket on a bike jersey. Those pockets (on the ones I had when I rode, anyways) were pretty secure. Velcro could probably be added at the top for a little extra security in keeping it in the pocket.

If you get the right size, it will hold the gun tight to your side. You can easily carry a full size pistol and a couple of spare mags (under the other arm) and forget they're there. Just use a zippered sweatshirt jacket (hoodie?) to cover it up.

Just be sure to get it much smaller than your normal size. I'm 6' tall and 260 pounds. I normally wear a 2X T-shirt (3X for concealment). My Holster Shirts are XL. I tried a 2X and it is just a bit too loose, with the weight of the pistol pulling on it.
It looks like a great option. How about a couple of questions:

1. Most of the time that I would have a concealment issue, it would in the Summer. A zippered sweatshirt is definitely not going to work for me then as a cover garment.
2. How well does the pistol stay put in the pocket? I deliberately pump several hills during my rides and that means standing on the pedals. There is a lot of body movement. A pistol sliding around on my side would likely make me nervous.
3. It says that it wicks moisture away. That is good. But I normally soak a regular t-shirt during my rides. If tactical shirt gets that wet, how does it feel? I hate the feel clammy stuff up tight against my skin when I'm dripping wet. I've skied and used the polyproph underwear under lots of layers on the slopes. I was every bit as wet then as I get on the bike and the poly didn't bother me.
I have these tshirts and wear them often, so I'll answer:
1) Summertime carry is ALWAYS going to be a challenge. Heck, I have difficulty enough with Texas summers when I'm NOT carrying :)
2) Two things here: The pistol is snugly held against your body, and the velcro closure definitely keeps the pistol from having a chance of accidentally slipping out.
3) If you wear this during the summer, you WILL sweat. Wicking or not, the sweat has to go somewhere. The 5.11 tshirts are just designed to keep it off your gun.

My assessment: It's a great tshirt for non-hot-weather. For me, once it gets above 90, I'm wearing an IWB or, if that's not possible, a Galco belly band.
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

I appreciate how at least one of the articles properly identifies the cyclist as the victim in this case. :thumbs2:

Also glad to see he won't be facing charges, especially considering that he was forced to shoot teenagers. :???:

if you ride in any sort of tucked position, I would advise against the 5.11 shirt. I bought one with the intention of using it while mountain biking. I soon found that with my torso leaning forward, and after some vigorous riding, the gun migrates to where it is _only_ supported by the velcro tabs . I had the misfortune of leaning on my bars to grab a breather, and had my LCP tumble out onto the ground. ..in front of a couple riders of unknown 2A stance. I retrieved it without any sort of fanfare and it turned out to be no big deal. perhaps this would have gone differently with roadies ;-)

after alot of experimentation, I think I've settled on what works for me: Smith airweight carried in the appendix position in a WRB holster. I have many, many riding hours with this combo and have stopped looking for alternate solutions. I also have a fair number of running miles with this rig and it works well there too.

disclaimer: as a service to the general public, I don't ride in a full-spandex outfit. if that's your riding gear, then printing will certainly be a problem when standing upright.
