The above link is to a hotel robbery in Brazil. The LEO was a rookie officer in his first
week on the job.

The news story is in Portuguese, but I believe she states that the robber had a revolver.

The BG robs the hotel's till, then starts to leave via the stairs, but runs into the LEO coming
up the stairs. The BG decides to go behind the counter and use the clerk as a human shield.

If you look closely, the LEO makes his decision to fire, but has forgotten to sweep his safety
to the "fire" position.

The surprising thing here is that when the LEO sweeps off the safety and starts firing, the BG
is very close to the GG (hotel clerk). The LEO pumps 5 rounds into the BG, who died.

You can see the shell casing from round #4 being ejected onto the hotel counter.

The clerk was not hit by the LEO's bullets.

I would think the hotel clerk would have given the BG a full serving of the counter at the 0:45 - 0:49 mark. :evil2:

Also, wounder what he was messing with when the scene changes at the 0:50 mark??? Sure glad the GG didn't take any rounds. The rookie didn't have the most sought after grip on his pistol....

:iagree: It looks like a case of "beginner's luck." P.S. For the cop, not the BG. ;-)

I'm sure he was having an adrenalin dump like no other but his grip sure looked weak/shaky. I was just waiting for he pistol to fly out of his hand each time he pulled the trigger.
