64 yo woman - "Stop right there (expletive) ...."

Daytona Beach again.

... Karen Granville, who lives at the house, said she had grabbed her gun when she heard a police helicopter overhead at 3 a.m. She said she then heard the car pull into the driveway and someone running toward the back of her house, according to deputies.

Granville said she opened her door and saw a man running toward her, so she yelled, "Stop right there (expletive) or you're going to be dead where you stand," according to a deputy report.... :thumbs2: :thumbs2:

Story here.

He bonded out of jail already. Hopefully he's not feeling vindictive.

Bravo to the lady with the gun and the gumption.! :hurry:

Glad it turned out as it did, but was a dumb move to go out and confront the guy.

She needs to learn about no finger on the trigger during interviews. :nono:

Probably an adrenalin fueled reaction to the circumstances - middle of the night, helicopter overhead, guy running toward your door. I think I would have the wife calling 911 (phone in one hand, gun in the other) while I wait for sounds of forced entry with the 40 cal at the ready. If I hear my door being broken down, hollow points are going to fly.

I'll bet the newsies asked her to point the "unloaded" gun to ramp up the story. Notice that when she transitions from one side of the camera to the other, she avoided pointing it at the camera and possibly the cameraman, by tracking up and over.

Good grief......I'm glad she's ok but that sure didn't looks safe with her pointing the gun like that during the interview loaded or not.
