The majority of criminals are nothing but dumb stupid thugs to begin with. Even intelligent criminals may not be dumb, but are stupid for doing crimes. In this and many other cases add in ' .... as a strong odor of marijuana flowed out of Upshaw's car windows, records state.' and you have a more mentally incapacitated individual who is not going to be the brightest bulb in the lamp and will just blurt out their thoughts.
