...I think it happened automatically...though I had it capitalized, the instant I hit submit, it changed it...it censors out of context...I wouldn't talk so ugly to a mod...well, prolly not...I wasn't 'cusing you...

The name of Satan's dwelling, where condemned souls go, which rhymes with sell, will be converted automatically to heck by the forum software. Similarly, the four-letter word for condemn will be converted to darn.

Those of you who have been members long enough may recall the debate over the three-letter synonym for donkey that appears in the Bible and much classical literature.

Tip: When you compose a message, click the Preview button. That will show you any automatic conversions that will occur when you submit the message.

Don't feel bad. It took me a while to figure it out and I am college educated. I have both a bull degree as well as an MS degree. :evil2:

If true, then wow - you have a job where you meet lowlifes on a regular basis, but you don't
carry off duty? Sheesh.

SIA
Some officers see carrying an off duty weapon as a form of uncompensated work for their agency. They refuse to do it when they're not being paid to do so.

These are the same guys and gals who refuse to train or enhance their survival skills unless they're being paid to do that too.

The reasoning (or lack thereof) speaks for itself.

(facepalm)

What else can I say?

id be willing to bet that those are also the 'officers' so out of shape and overweight that they couldn't give a foot chase two thoughts before hyperventilating. i have several LEO friends and when one of them started to get a little thick around the waistband, i gave it to him good. imho, an officer needs to be in good physical condition, good mental condition and prepared to act on any criminal activity, regardless of whether he is on or off duty.

I haven't seen any correlation between whether an officer does or doesn't carry off duty and whether or not he or she maintains good physical condition.
