Houston: Police officer killed in fatal crash

In Houston Sunday a police officer investigating a crash on north loop 610 at 3:45 a.m. was killed when an alleged intoxicated driver crashed through a barricade.

Officer Kevin S. Will, 38, had been with the traffic division exactly one year. He was married and the father of two. His wife is pregnant with a third child.

The driver was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).

Hate to hear that.

Traffic accidents (in different forms) remains the number one cause of death for LEO.

My prayers for his family. Tragic.

The suspect in this case is reported to have had a blood alcohol level of 0.238 and also was in the country illegally. He was denied bail and is still in the hospital under arrest.
