BAD shoot for accuracy.
I thought the officers involved delivered outstanding on target accuracy considering the distance, suspect and vehicle motion, and difficulty seeing into the cab of the vehicle.
Just MHO.
This was a real world gunfight, not a movie version. Without an autopsy report, we wouldn't know if the BG was hit before he got into the truck or not.
He may well have been, perhaps even fatally. Absent a central nervous system hit (which is pretty tough to do on a moving target), we know that someone whose heart is completely destroyed can continue to function pretty well for 15 - 20 seconds on the oxygen still in his system, even though it isn't being replenished.
Just because he didn't react according to the expectations of one shot stop theorists doesn't rule out that the officers were right on target.
