Galveston: 6th Street robbery

#1

Post by seamusTX »

A Friendswood man reported that he was robbed a 9 p.m. Thursday while walking in the 900 block of 6th Street. That would be a block north of where Seawall Boulevard and Broadway come together.

The robbers were described only as two men in a white Crown Victoria.

This is an unusual place and time for a robbery.

That's true, but there are places and times when they are more likely to occur.

There is nowhere in Galveston I would not go during the daytime. There are places I would not go at night unless I had a compelling reason. Sixth street is not often a crime scene, even at night. I can't remember another random crime occurring there.
