Initial reports suggested the shooting was the result of a fight that took place at a dance earlier in the week.
I remember a time when a simple dispute at school resulted in boxing gloves in the gym. A couple of days later both parties had forgotten about the whole thing......................
No State shall convert a liberty into a privilege, license it, and charge a fee therefor. -- Murdock v. Pennsylvania
If the State converts a right into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity. -- Shuttleworth v. City of Birmingham

Reminds me of the "Why Johnny can't read" thingy years ago.

Obviously "Johnny can't read" the gun-free zone signs

SO, there needs to be a new law

New law would prohibit anyone from naming children "Johnny" so they can all read the gun-free zone signs.

There, that should fix it.

Yeah, but that was probably at a time when the schools weren't teaching that, regardless of any bad things you might do, you're a wonderful being worthy of respect, merely because you consume oxygen.
