Father Says He Will Murder His 5-Year-Old's Killer

John Foreman said in an interview Monday with WPRO-AM radio that he will kill convicted murderer Michael Woodmansee "as aggressively and as painfully" as he killed his son if Woodmansee is released from prison early.

Woodmansee, who was 16 years old at the time, kidnapped and killed Jason Foreman in 1975 in South Kingstown, R.I. He confessed and was convicted of second-degree murder eight years later.

Jason Foreman was presumed to be missing until 1982, when Woodmansee tried to lure another boy into his home. The boy escaped and police began to question Woodmansee about Foreman's disappearance.

Authorities found the boy's skull and bones on Woodmansee's , along with a journal that detailed the gruesome killing. John Foreman told the radio station that Woodmansee wrote about eating his son's flesh in the journal.

should have sniped him before they locked him up.....no way a person that eats human flesh and writes about killing a child can ever be "rehabilitated" :fire

Not sure what I would do in this Fathers shoes. Thankfully I'm not in his shoes.

Maybe the father should shut up. End of story.

I still can't say it's "right" to threaten pre-meditated murder against another person (no matter how far from human that person truly is), and 6 or 7 years ago I would've said the father should be watched very carefully and possibly even prosecuted for a terroristic threat of some kind.

But almost 5 years ago, my daughter was born. And now I completely understand the father's point of view (and the point of view of the Samuel Jackson character in the movie "A Time to Kill", the ending of which I disagreed until I became a father myself)

Still can't say it's "right" but certainly can't say it's "wrong" either. For his own sake and that of his family, I hope the father DOES NOT go through with his threats.

The state should keep that animal locked up "for its own safety". Just add an extra day to its sentence every time its prison cot is not made perfectly with "hospital corners" or something, then never supply sheets. Should be able to keep up that little game long enough for the animal to get the hint and just stop trying to make its bed at some point.

OK folks, remember the rules. While you can discuss this issue, the rules clearly state condoning illegal activity is forbidden on this forum.

I know what I'd want to do if I was in that dad's shoes. Thank God that I'm not so I won't have to find out what I would do.

Some people just deserve to die...I have three kids and I see his point of view, right or wrong. You wouldn't get me to consider him guilty if I were on a jury.

Yes, but even someone very important to this forum has said that sometimes a person just needs killing.

I think the father wants to do it if the guy gets out, but I'm not sure he would. It's kind of like the person that calls the suicide hot line saying they're going to kill themselves, but they are really just crying out for help. This father might want this guy dead, but I don't think his subconscious will let him do it and he's doing whatever he can to keep them from releasing this guy. I think if he were really going to kill the guy he wouldn't have said a thing and just waited until he was released.

I also don't understand how this guy did not get the death penalty. Was it just because he was 16y when he committed the murder?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

According to the article 40 years was part of a deal reached in order to keep the family from having to sit through the details that would have come out and been made public in a trial.

:iagree:

He's trying to keep the killer cannibal locked up.

If he wanted the killer cannibal dead, he would have kept quiet and made sure he had a good alibi.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

I sincerely hope that none of you face the death of a child; however, should it happen, I can recommend "The Bereaved Parent". The book does not change anything but it did help me understand my feelings.
