Looks like they were illegal aliens.
Gun control is like stopping drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to drive.

Does that make Eric Holder their unindicted co-conspirator?

2 of the 3 men were ID'd as Hondurans. I don't know if they have
determined the 3rd guy's ID.

In the news video I saw, they interviewed a barber
whose shop is close to the jewelry store involved. He has been robbed
also and stated "If I had a gun I'd do the same thing."

Great - he's just told all the bad guys they can rob him again since he
hasn't got a gun. Sheesh.

More details came out about this in today's Chron. A 12-gauge facial for two and dotting the eye with a 9mm! I love it when the good guys win! :thumbs2: :cheers2:

I have heard people refer to a coach gun or even a HD shotgun as a 'sawed off shotgun'. I am betting it may be a legal type of shorter shotgun not requiring NFA.

since we mentioned HD shotguns, I believe that semi-auto sot gun works best,
how about this one:

Yes, The "coach gun" I used to carry in the 1970s in downtown Houston was side-by-side 18.5" barrel, and shortened stock, but within the legal size requirements to not be required to have Federal papers. I carried with shells in the chambers, but "broke open" so no one could say "disorderly conduct" as easily, but It closed so smoothly, just a flick of the wrist if needed, and it was "good to go"

Never had to fire it, it LOOKED mean; though once in my other store on Airline Drive, I did have to display it once inside my store, didn't even need to point or aim it, kept muzzle pointed in a safe direction...and the "desire to fight" just left the guy who was a threat. He put away his knife he was taking out, and exited my store.

Third store I had on Telephone Road, I never had to display it, but had it "at the ready, under the counter, with my hand on it," a few times.

Ramon Castillo returned home yesterday.

It was an emotional moment for the Castillo family because Ramon believed he would never be in his house again.

Said his daughter, Laura Castillo, "Our dad has a long road to recovery ahead of him. In about 6 to 9 months he is expected to have other surgeries. When he left the hospital he had an illeostomy bag and will have to go back to the hospital every two weeks to have his wound checked since it is an open wound."

Laura Castillo went on to write, "My dad said today that all of you helping in any way you can are the real heros to him because you do it out of the goodness of your hearts & nobody makes you do it. I think he's right, you are the real heros & I've said it before but you have no idea how your words have helped my dad in these trying moments in his life!"

Ramon Castillo is a warrior and a hero.
