As I said "again" (this is the 4th or 5th on or near campus this year?)

Two students reported they were robbed by a suspect with a gun and a knife in a men's restroom in Loftin Student Center at about noon today causing another building to be evacuated and 25 police officers to search the campus for an armed male suspect. Full story
The search on campus for the suspect in an armed robbery around noon today in Loftin Student Center was called off about 3 p.m., Joe Curiel, deputy chief of district police administrative division, said. Sgt. Ben Peña and Curiel said the initial search did not turn up any suspects. Full story

A lockdown was lifted at San Antonio College after police failed to find a man suspected of robbing a student there Tuesday afternoon.
Maybe NOW they'll finally install CAMERAS in the BATHROOMS to "protect" students ??????????
if you Google San Antonio College robbery, you gets info on several of the prior ones too.
I'm guessing solution to this type is always use bathroom with a friend when on campus, (October's e-mail suggestion to use the "buddy system" .... oops, this was TWO students in the bathroom using a "buddy system?")
Parking lot solution to walk with a friend failed last week at another college where 2 friends would have been robbed, but had no money; robbers displayed gun failed too.
This isn't the one I meant, but it works too

He says he and his friend had no choice but to stand there as the suspects robbed them.
Investigators say during the first few days of school, there have been six attacks in College Park. It's an obvious concern for students
San Antonio College - AGAIN
Re: San Antonio College - AGAIN
on obvious concern for students ...
These monthly/weekly lockdowns are taking away classtime people paid for and are disruptive and not conducive to effective education and study time.
Solution: turn the volume up on the MP3 player so you don't notice the noise; then sirens etc won't bother you.

In October's parking lot robberies, Students were advised to use "the buddy system"
Apparently these two guys followed that procedure to go to the bathroom, but since no bathroom "security" cameras exist there yet, and neither victim had their phone on Video in the bathroom, the armed robber escaped, even with 25 officers searching for him.
He'll be back though probably, so they'll get another chance later I'd bet.
It's a "safe-criminal" zone.
Here's KENS5 San Antonio's report http://www.kens5.com/news/SAC-Police-se ... 95169.html#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I saw it on channel 10 in Waco, but it's not up on their website that I can find.

Re: San Antonio College - AGAIN
This story must be a fake. There are no guns in school buildings. Colleges are gun free zones, therefore the only possible and logical explanation is that the story is fake.RPB wrote:As I said "again" (this is the 4th or 5th on or near campus this year?)

Re: San Antonio College - AGAIN
foxnews5 in San Antonio mentioned it too; guy had a bloody nose and face or something.
If I was an adult in college, and people told me to use the buddy system to go to the bathroom, like they did in first grade, fearing I'd get lost (i only got lost once or twice) ...now..adults can be responsible and take care of themselves ... well, if they have the proper tools I'd probably be a bit insulted and say I have a GPS now, but no weapons allowed, take a buddy; so the robber can get two wallets at a time and not have to come back as often.

College campuses are the primary reason I have one of the Kimber pepper spray devices. I generally keep it in the pocket just below the one my wallet is in, too.
