Another homeowner successfully defends his home and family against criminals:

"Wednesday's shooting was the third time a San Antonio homeowner killed an intruder in recent weeks. Police consider all three cases to be self defense and none have been charged."

The third self-defense incident is interesting:
Two days later, a 19-year-old man fatally stabbed a still-unidentified man who broke into his South Side home, authorities said. The teen was alone in his family's home in the 2100 block of Mission Verde around 10:30 a.m. when two men kicked in his front door, police said. After firing several shots the young man tried to detain one of them, leading to a struggle in which the youth stabbed the man once in the chest, police said.

Authorities in the district attorney's office signaled that the teen is unlikely to face charges. The suspect died at the scene and remains unidentified, according to the Bexar County medical examiner's office.
