In La Vergne, Tennessee (Nashville exurb), earlier this month, a business owner caught two mopes stealing construction material from his business.
The business owner shot at the vehicle that the mopes were driving. He did not stop them, but the police subsequently did.
Said mopes have been indicted for felony theft. One of them was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They had marijuana in their vehicle. The driver was charged with driving with a suspended license.
However, the police have turned the case over to the DA with the intent to have the business owner indicted on charges related to shooting at a moving vehicle.

Once again, we are reminded that no other state has the broad justifications for use of deadly force to protect or recover property that Texas does.

Fear, anger, hatred, and greed. The devil's all-you-can-eat buffet.

Good to know
We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions. ~ Ronald Reagan ~

Not only that but, our Texas 30.06 sign is pretty clear whereas in some other states the CH licensee is left wondering....seamusTX wrote:
