In Will County, Illinois, and western Indiana south of Chicago, last week, a man went on a shooting spree that left one man dead and two men injured. The shootings appeared to be random.
Later in the week police arrested a police officer who is employed by the town of Lynwood in that area.
Today Will County prosecutors dropped charges against the officer and admitted that the officer could not have committed the crimes, based upon evidence.
The shooter is still at large and unknown.

I watched this story evolve from "cop gone wrong" to "oops, sorry." Unfortunately for the officer, the taint is difficult to wash out.

It could have happened to any of us. The charges were dropped due to lack of solid evidence. The Computer Alabi was good enough and was verified.
Good it turned out clear for the LEO. I see no such person do such act. He was on a paid leave for a year. Where is the motive?

Crazy doesn't need a motive.Beiruty wrote:Where is the motive?
Whoever committed these crimes apparently just drove around a wide area and shot people at random.
