A 33-year-old Christian immigrant from Israel was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as he was about to board a plane to Israel.
Police accuse him of stabbing or otherwise assaulting at least 18 men or teenage boys, most of them black, for no reason, since May.
He seems to have a peripatetic history. After immigrating from Israel to the U.S. he was married and divorced twice and moved frequently. The alleged assaults and murders occurred in a swath from Michigan to Virginia.

If any of this is accurate, which is always a question, it is extremely unusual for a middle-aged person to go on this kind of rampage. It is reminiscent of Charles Whitman.
